Nature's Prenatal
A Vitamin and Mineral Supplement
As your baby grows and develops you want to be able to provide all the nutrients your child will need for proper development. Food you buy from a grocery store won't be able to provide all these nutrients. Nature's Prenatal has 11 vitamins and 6 minerals to supplement your diet.

Vitamin A is important to your child's immune system. Researchers found that kids with low levels of Vitamin A also had low levels of disease fighting T-cells. Nature's Prenatal contains beta carotene which the body uses to make Vitamin A.

Vitamin D is synthesized by the body when the rays of the sun hit the skin. Vitamin D helps the body absorb calcium which is then used for the functioning of the nerves, bones and muscles. Children low in Vitamin D have rickets. Fish oil is one of the only natural products with Vitamin D and is the source used in this product.

Vitamin E has shown in scientific studies to protect the body against free radical damage, blood clots and heart disease.

Vitamin C is needed by the white blood cells to fight infections. This Vitamin helps to form collagen which helps produce new tissues. Iron is more efficiently absorbed when Vitamin C is present.

Vitamin B1 ensures a healthy nervous system. The common American diet is low in BI causing problems such as aggressiveness, depression and headaches. Tests on children show they are able to learn better when they have Vitamin Bl.

Vitamin B2 keeps the skin healthy and is used to turn food into fuel for the body. It is easily lost from food and from the body.

Niacin prevents pellagra, a disease that causes dementia and death. Studies show niacin prevents mental disease and lowers high cholesterol.

Pantothenic acid helps the adrenals function properly. Rats who were low in this acid failed to grow, had graying hair, hemorrhaging and malfunctioning adrenals.

Vitamin B6 is involved in the activation of at least 50 enzymes. Infants fed formulas low in B6 had epileptic seizures which eventually led to coma. When given B6 they returned to health.

Folic acid is the single most important nutrient for pregnant women and their babies. This acid helps the enzyme that makes DNA duplication possible. Deficiencies cause the baby's growth to slow and can lead to miscarriage or birth defects. Nature's Prenatal includes 800 mcg of folic acid.

Vitamin B12 must be present for the production and rebuilding of red blood cells. B12 helps to use protein and is necessary for growth.

Biotin produces energy in the body by converting carbohydrates, proteins and fats into fuel. A deficiency of biotin leads to slow growth.

Magnesium is needed to properly absorb calcium. It regulates the heart beat. Studies show that many pregnant women are low in magnesium. Magnesium can prevent premature labor and preeclampsia.

Iron is found mostly in red blood cells where it helps carry oxygen to cells. It aids in the production of new cells, helping to combine DNA and RNA.

Copper is used for the proper development of blood vessels, bones and nerves. It helps produce elastin which prevents the tissues and skeleton from being stiff and fragile.

Iodine is vital to thyroid function. This mineral keeps the skin, hair and nails healthy. Recent research has shown that children who died of sudden infant death syndrome were low in iodine.

Zinc is important to growth and immunity. Zinc works in the formation of DNA and RNA. Mothers deficient in zinc are more likely to have a baby with malformities or behavioral disturbances.

Ginger has been proven in tests to prevent nausea. It is included to aid morning sickness.

Take one tablet daily with a meal.
